for several years and we now sell them as a package

The 2009 Bic surfboard packages also now come with free

Bic Surfboards Construction Types:
ACS (Aerated Cellular Structure )
When learning how to surf, there are three key elements
that make the experience enjoyable as you master your new skills:
1. A suitable shape for easy learning and smooth progression
2. A surfboard that is durable and not easily damaged
3. Great design combined with good value for money
Bic Surfboards' range of ACS surfboards allows both entry-level
and recreational surfers the benefits of durability and stability at an affordable
price.
ACS surfboards are created using a moulded polyethylene shell filled with polyurethane
foam which is found in a regular fibreglass surfboard.
This means that your new surfboard will survive dings and damage that would
see a fibreglass board out of the water requiring repairs!

E-Comp (Proven Epoxy Surfboard Tecnology)
BIC Sport’s E-Comp (Epoxy Composite) construction
technique produces a board that is approximately 30% more durable while being
almost
identical with regard to stiffness and weight when compared to a similar polyester
constructed surfboard. To accommodate the needs of more
advanced surfers, E-Comp GLOSS surfboards provide shapes that not only suit
the intermediate surfer, but also experienced riders who know
how to ride a surfboard.
The process forms the top and bottom - (ASA) surfaces of
the board over aluminium moulds. These formed surfaces are then pressed over
a
pre-shaped, lightweight EPS foam core, (the lightest surfboard foam available)
which is covered in 6-oz fibre glass cloth and epoxy resin to give
the board strength. A super hard, two-pack varnish covers the board, protecting
its structure and graphic layout, enhancing and preserving the
look of the board for a much longer period of time. Seam protection is increased,
improving durability and providing an additional waterproof
barrier to the interior foam core.
This construction provides an extremely stiff, lightweight
surfboard that is approximately 30% more durable than a standard polyester surfboard
but almost identical with regard to its flex characteristics and weight.

G Boards - Bic Soft Surfboards
